SEO for online stores that want to grow without depending on ads.
Freelance ecommerce SEO consultant with over 15 years. I work with Shopify, Shopify Plus and WooCommerce stores that already sell but depend too much on paying for every visit. Catalog architecture Google understands, product pages that convert, clean feeds for Google Merchant Center, and a content strategy that attracts traffic that buys. No more 'SEO blog posts' nobody reads.
An online store has hundreds or thousands of product URLs, filterable categories, pages that expire, variable stock, variant duplicates and feeds powering Google Shopping. A real ecommerce SEO consultant doesn't treat your site like a blog with more pages: treats it as what it is, a catalog that sells.
Catalog architecture
Categories, sub-categories, facets and pagination. If Google doesn't understand your tree, it doesn't index what you sell.
Product pages
A product page is a landing page. Title, description, schema, reviews and stock signals. Done wrong, it neither converts nor ranks.
Feeds and Merchant Center
Google Shopping pulls from the feed. A feed with poor attributes or validation errors is money lost in both Shopping and organic SEO.
Cannibalization and stock
Variants, colors, sizes and discontinued products. Without clear rules, you end up cannibalizing your own pages.
/what I do
What this pillar covers
These are the fronts I work on as an ecommerce SEO consultant. Each project combines them depending on your platform, catalog and starting point.
01
Shopify SEO
Shopify makes selling easy, but it has SEO limits: fixed URLs, duplicate content across collections, apps that slow things down. I work within those rules to get the most out of it.
What it includes
—Shopify-specific technical audit
—Duplicate control across collections and products
—Apps, theme and performance review
—Markets and languages setup
02
WooCommerce SEO
WooCommerce gives you freedom, and with it many ways to break SEO. I tidy up plugins, taxonomies, filters and performance so the store can scale cleanly.
What it includes
—WordPress + WooCommerce technical audit
—Taxonomies, attributes and filters
—SEO and caching plugin review
—Performance optimization
03
Catalog architecture
How categories, subcategories and filters are organized decides what can rank. I design an architecture that follows how your customers search, not just how your warehouse is organized.
What it includes
—Demand-based category map
—Faceted navigation and filter indexing strategy
—Internal linking between categories and products
—Handling out-of-stock and discontinued products
04
Product pages
Product pages that rank and convert: titles, descriptions, images, reviews and product structured data done right, at scale.
What it includes
—Title and description templates
—Product, Offer and Review schema
—Image and attribute optimization
—Prioritizing pages by potential
05
Google Merchant Center
A clean feed is the foundation for showing up in Shopping and Google's free listings. I review and fix the feed to reduce disapprovals and improve visibility.
What it includes
—Product feed audit
—Fixing errors and warnings
—Feed title and attribute optimization
—Free listings setup
/platforms
Ecommerce platforms I work with
Shopify
Shopify Plus
WooCommerce
PrestaShop
Magento
◆Headless Commerce
I also work with custom platforms (Next.js, Astro commerce, headless with Shopify Storefront API) if the technical foundation allows. If you use an uncommon platform, tell me first.
/who it is for
I work with…
I work as an ecommerce SEO consultant with stores that already sell but want to reduce their ad dependency and consolidate an organic channel that bills on its own.
◆
Shopify or WooCommerce stores with large catalogs
Hundreds or thousands of products where architecture and templates make the difference.
◆
Growing D2C brands
Brands selling directly to customers that want to build traffic they own.
◆
Retailers that depend on organic
Businesses where SEO is already a key channel and drops are not an option.
◆
Highly competitive marketplaces
Industries where every category and product page competes against big players.

An ecommerce SEO consultant helps online stores attract buying traffic from Google without depending on paying for every visit. Covers catalog architecture, product page optimization, Core Web Vitals, feeds for Google Merchant Center, product schema, and editorial strategy focused on buying intent. Works directly with the client, no junior accounts in between.
Do you only work with Shopify or also WooCommerce?
+
Both. Shopify and Shopify Plus are my strength by project volume, but well-configured WooCommerce can rank perfectly. I also work with PrestaShop and Magento. If your store is custom or headless, we talk first to see if the technical base allows sustainable SEO.
How long until ecommerce SEO shows results?
+
Depends on catalog size and starting point. A small store with solid tech can see improvements in 8-12 weeks. A store with thousands of SKUs and structural issues may need 4-6 months to consolidate changes. Ecommerce SEO is slower at start but compound effect is bigger than a blog's.
My store doesn't sell, is it an SEO or conversion problem?
+
An honest ecommerce SEO consultant will tell you it's usually a mix. Traffic but no sales = CRO. No traffic = SEO. Before hiring any service, look at the data: sessions, conversion rate by source, entry pages and behavior. The first thing I do in an audit is separate these two problems.
Does ecommerce SEO replace Google Ads?
+
Not short-term. Google Ads brings traffic from day one; SEO takes months. What good SEO does is reduce ad dependency over time, improve ROAS when combining organic and paid, and protect your store from industry CPC spikes. The healthy goal is each channel growing without cannibalizing the other.
What info do you need to start?
+
Read access to Google Search Console, GA4 and Google Merchant Center if you use it. A catalog export or store admin access. Last 12 months sales data (optional but useful). And a 30-minute conversation to understand your business model, margins and which products you want to rank most. First week is diagnostic before touching anything.
Let's talk about your project.
I take on a limited number of projects each year to give each one real attention. If it's your moment, tell me what you're working on.
